Day 1: We will arrive mid-morning and our driver will drop you off in the West End of London. This vibrant area is home to some of the best shopping in London with firsts to flagships, independent boutiques to luxury department stores, the options are endless. There’s also a huge variety of restaurants serving delights from around the world, as well as lively bars and cafes.
This afternoon, head to the Savoy Theatre for the matinee performance of Paddington the Musical. When a small, lost bear from Peru arrives in London in search of a new home, a chance encounter with the Brown family leads him to the wonderful world of Windsor Gardens. But London isn’t all cream teas and friendly faces – and even the happiest families have their cracks beneath the surface. So when Paddington’s life is suddenly in peril, the Browns must decide just how far they’re willing to go — and what they’re willing to risk — for this special bear. Bringing one of Britain’s best-loved characters to life on stage, this unmissable major new production is jam-packed with irresistible songs, dazzling choreography – and of course, marmalade sandwiches.
After the show, we make our way to the Sunborn London Yacht Hotel for our luxury overnight stay. Perhaps enjoy a drink in the Sundown Bar or something to eat onboard* alternatively you may wish to enjoy a meal earlier in the day in the West End or at one of the variety of restaurants in the vicinity of the yacht hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast at the stunning Lands End restaurant on board the Sunborn Yacht, we depart for Greenwich, an outstanding area best known for its world-class attractions, royal connections, rich history, architecture and vast parks. It’s a great location for shopping, to take in some culture or to sit back and watch the world go by. Steeped in maritime history, Greenwich is home to the Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and the classical buildings of the Old Royal Navy College and the Queen’s House. Not forgetting Greenwich Observatory, the historic home of British astronomy and Greenwich Mean Time, where you can stand on the world-famous Meridian Line. Wander among the pretty, picturesque streets of the historic village of Maritime Greenwich or browse Greenwich Market filled with antiques, arts and crafts stalls plus artisan food from across the globe. There will be approximately 5 hours of free time before we make our way back home.
