Day 1: We will arrive mid-morning and our driver will drop you off in Greenwich, an outstanding area best known for its world-class attractions, royal connections, rich history, architecture and vast parks. It’s a great location for shopping, to take in some culture or to sit back and watch the world go by. Steeped in maritime history, Greenwich is home to the Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and the classical buildings of the Old Royal Navy College and the Queen’s House. Not forgetting Greenwich Observatory, the historic home of British astronomy and Greenwich Mean Time, where you can stand on the world-famous Meridian Line. Wander among the pretty, picturesque streets of the historic village of Maritime Greenwich or browse Greenwich Market filled with antiques, arts and crafts stalls plus artisan food from across the globe.
In the afternoon we make our way to the Sunborn London Yacht Hotel with time to check in, freshen up, perhaps enjoy a drink in the Sundown Bar or something to eat onboard. Early evening, we make the journey to London’s West End for the award-winning Theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s global phenomenon follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. The production is a revival of the acclaimed version bringing this classic rock opera to the iconic venue. With a fantastic cast featuring Sam Ryder as Jesus, a compelling storyline and a pioneering blend of rock music, symphony orchestra and gospel choir, this musical masterpiece is sure to delight. After the show we return to the Sunborn Yacht for our luxury overnight stay.
You can choose to dine on board the Sunborn Yacht* before departing for the show or alternatively you may wish to enjoy a meal earlier in the day in Greenwich or at one of the variety of restaurants in the vicinity of the yacht hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast at the stunning Lands End restaurant on board the Sunborn Yacht, we depart for the West End of London and our driver will drop you off near Covent Garden. This vibrant area is home to some of the best shopping in London with firsts to flagships, independent boutiques to luxury department stores, the options are endless. There’s also a huge variety of restaurants serving delights from around the world, as well as lively bars and cafes. Alternatively visit some of the more historical sites such as Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery or the iconic London Eye or perhaps enjoy a unique perspective on iconic landmarks like Big Ben, London Bridge and Westminster Abbey. There will be approximately 6 hours of free time before we make our way back home.
