Day 1: After arriving in Calais we will travel through Belgium into Holland and onto our hotel.
Day 2: Today is the highlight of our tour, our visit to Keukenhof Gardens; the most beautiful spring garden in the world! Keukenhof is a truly unforgettable experience where more than 7 million flower bulbs are planted every year. Gardens and pavilions show a fantastic collection including tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids and many more; the spectacle of colour and perfume is truly overwhelming. Besides the spacious 32 hectares of flowers, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular flower shows, surprising inspirational gardens, unique artwork and wonderful events; a day not to be forgotten.
Day 3: This morning is at leisure to enjoy the charming and vibrant city of Utrecht. The fourth largest city in the Netherlands, regarded by many as the authentic alternative to Amsterdam. The compact medieval centre is built around the Dom tower, the tallest church tower in the Netherlands, which can be seen from any point in the city. Boasting beautiful canals with a bustling café and restaurant scene, extraordinary wharf cellars and terraces by the water which are unique to Utrecht. The city is also home to remarkable historical buildings and fascinating museums such as Museum Speelklook: taking you through the wonderful world of self-playing musical instruments and Spoorwegmuseum: The Railway Museum. This afternoon, we make our way to Amersfoort. Voted European City of the Year in 2024, this delightful city retains its historic charm with its famous city gate, fine medieval buildings and intriguing Muurhuizen wall houses.
Day 4: We depart after breakfast for our return journey home.
