Warner Bembridge Coast Hotel

Day 1: We will make our way to the Isle of Wight and our hotel arriving in plenty of time to freshen up before dinner. 

Day 2: This morning we have at leisure; enjoy a coastal walk, take part in one of the many activities on offer or just laze the morning away watching the boats and yachts making their way across the Solent. In the early afternoon we make the short journey to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. We will  have time to explore the railway before boarding our train for the mid-afternoon departure. Step back to a bygone era when steam power was the order of the day; settle back in the beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages with their gleaming brass handles and vintage droplight windows. Discover an idyllic view of the Island’s unspoilt countryside, and keep a lookout out for a red squirrel or deer darting away from the train as you pass through ancient woodland.

Day 3: Our excursion today will take us on a tour of this beautiful island visiting Godshill, with its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tearooms. We will stop in Shanklin Old Village where you will see some of the oldest dwellings on the island. There will also be time to visit Shanklin Chine; carved by Mother Nature’s own hands over thousands of years, the stunning tree lined gorge cuts its way from Shanklin Old Village to the sandy beach and esplanade far below. Our tour would not be complete without a visit to Alum Bay famous for its coloured sand and the iconic landmark of The Needles.

Day 4: Spend the day at your leisure making the most of the facilities on offer at the hotel.

Day 5: Today we bid farewell and make our journey homeward.
