We travel to France from Folkestone to Calais via LeShuttle and then make our way to Bruges.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year; is there a more perfect way to start your Christmas celebrations than with a visit to Bruges?
This picturesque medieval city is completely transformed for the festive season. Intoxicating scents of chocolate and fresh waffles linger in the cobbled streets, which are dressed like gingerbread houses with festive fairy lights reflecting in the canal. Hop on a horse-drawn carriage for a tour of the narrow alleys, enjoy the stunning architecture or shop in the most charming Christmas market with pretty, wooden chalets surrounding a glittering ice rink, where skaters swish and stumble in the shadow of the belfry. With 366 steps to the bells at the top, if you dare to climb you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the chocolate-box city.
Please note: Ice skating, horse-drawn carriage tours and entrance to the Belfry are not included in the price and are subject to availability and opening times on the day of travel.
Dependent on traffic conditions on the day, we aim to have approximately 5 hours free time in Bruges.
